This intimate Metro Detroit wedding was a special one. Wes and Whitney originally wanted to get married in June of 2024 but life had a different plan. Whitney’s dad became very sick so they decided to get married in the summer of 2023 in Wes’s moms backyard. Let me tell you, it was the most PERFECT day. The backyard was beautiful and so was the weather. The sun was shining and it wasn’t too hot. Tears were shed but it was mostly laughter and smiles!
Starting off the day was Wes and Whitney’s first look. Wes’s reaction was priceless. Then Whitney did one with her dad. There was not a dry eye in the place! It was a beautiful moment for them. To show some appreciation to his parents, Wes gave presents to them.
After relaxing for a little bit, their closest friends and family started showing up. They had their 15 minute ceremony in one corner of the yard and then dinner was held on the other side under a tent. Drinks were served inside but enjoyed outside on the patio. The night ended with stories and more laughter. The whole day was exactly what they wanted and even more. I am so honored to have been able to capture such a wonderful day for them.
